We'll never ask you for an "insurance" fee.

If you're a seller and someone says a courier needs an insurance or release fee from you, it isn't us. Here's how a genuine collection works.

The rule

renwd never asks sellers for an "insurance", "verification" or "release" fee. The buyer books the delivery, the seller gets a link with the driver's name and a collection code, and the driver must show that code before taking the item.

Four checks for every collection

Named driver

Your link shows the driver's first name before collection day.

Collection code

A short code like RNW-48K2-TQ. It must match what the driver shows you.

Our domain only

Links come from renwd.co. Nothing else is us.

The fake courier scam

A "buyer" agrees your price, says a courier will collect, then sends a link asking you to pay an "insurance fee" (often around £47). There is no courier. One Mumsnet thread alone has 16 reports. Read the full guide.

Looking after your item

  • Every item is wrapped in blankets before loading.
  • Big pieces like sofas and wardrobes get a two-person crew, so nobody struggles down the stairs with your furniture.

Questions people ask

Will renwd ask a seller for a fee?

Not for "insurance", "verification" or to "release" a payment. Those are the hallmarks of the courier scam. If you get a request like that, it isn't us.

How is my item looked after?

It's wrapped in blankets before loading and carried by hand to the door. Big pieces get a two-person crew.

Who are your drivers?

Vetted local drivers working to our process. You always see the driver's first name before collection day, and the seller gets a code to check.

How do I report a scam using your name?

Email hello@renwd.co with screenshots. If you paid anything, call your bank first.
